The Senior Business Manager role is a critical position delivering high quality business support to the CEO Private Office. This fast-paced role requires a dynamic, proactive, and highly organised individual with solid people management skills. The post holder will manage and enable the CEO’s priorities, providing direct managerial and strategic support to ensure all activity is coordinated and actioned at pace across one of the largest and most complex NHS trusts.

The role involves managing the CEO’s diary and commitments, commissioning and drafting quality briefing materials, and ensuring delivery of CEO actions. The Senior Business Manager will also support the Head of Private Office and Chief of Staff in managing the CEO’s Private Office and undertake any other duties necessary for the efficient running of the Private Office and Corporate Affairs function.

Requirements

Experience
- Extensive experience working with very senior individuals, particularly at board level
- Proven ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines and manage complex issues with conflicting priorities
- Experience managing senior management diaries and resolving scheduling conflicts
- Desirable: Experience dealing with complex complaints

Qualifications
- Degree level education or equivalent knowledge
- Relevant management training or equivalent experience
- Desirable: Experience working in an executive NHS private office
