£44,485 per annum plus a non-pensionable RRP of £5,275 (subject to review in June 2025)

Harefield Hospital is a specialist heart and lung hospital and transplant centre, renowned for its clinical excellence and research. We are seeking a Senior Cardiac Physiologist ready to advance their career by joining our dynamic team at Harefield. The role involves working within a busy cardiac catheter laboratory performing both non-invasive and invasive cardiology procedures, including CRM, TAVI, structural heart interventions, and complex PCI. You will provide technical support for a full range of diagnostic and interventional cardiac investigations and device implants, participate in training junior staff, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care. Full training will be provided to achieve required competencies in all procedures. Experience
- Minimum 2 years as a qualified Band 5 Cardiac Physiologist or current Band 6 within the NHS
- Experience in all non-invasive cardiac assessment techniques and therapy provision
- Competent in basic cardiac catheter lab procedures, device checks, and implants
- Desirable: Clinical experience in complex catheter lab procedures and CRM implant/follow-up within the NHS

- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Clear thinker able to act appropriately in emergency situations
- Strong technical skills for measurement and analysis of physiological parameters
- Ability to train and support junior and student physiologists
- Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
Qualifications
- BSc Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) / Healthcare Science (Cardiology) or AHCS Certificate of PTP Equivalence
- Registered or eligible to register with RCCP / AHCS / HCPC
- Minimum 2 years NHS experience
- Desirable: Immediate Life Support (ILS) qualification
- Working towards postgraduate qualification and/or IBHRE/BHRS/EHRA device accreditation
