About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ is among the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS foundation trusts, providing a full range of hospital and community services for people in south London and specialist care for patients from further afield. We are seeking a passionate Senior Medical Statistician to lead the statistical work of the British Society of Blood and Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapy (BSBMTCT). In this role, you will provide full statistical support and analysis to meet various purposes including research, statutory reporting of outcomes, and contractual obligations to commercial partners. You will oversee a small team of statisticians and work closely with various stakeholders to ensure the highest-quality treatments and care for patients.

Experience
Extensive operational experience in highly complex statistical analysis in a clinical environment. Experience of using statistical methods and preparing clean data for analysis. Experience of working with large and complex data sets. Experience of providing, receiving, and interpreting complex information.

About you
Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration with colleagues and study collaborators across the UK and Republic of Ireland. Strong analytical skills with the ability to present complex data interpretations clearly. Ability to manage multiple studies and meet deadlines for submissions and presentations.

Qualifications
Degree or equivalent level qualification in Statistics/Mathematical or Biomedical Sciences or an allied subject. Masters level qualification in medical statistics, applied statistics, or a related healthcare/mathematical discipline.
