About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Programme Manager to lead the newly established Ward Refurbishment Programme within the Chief Operating Officer Team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. This major programme will be delivered over several years and requires excellent organisation and communication skills. The role involves working across clinical groups and corporate departments to ensure robust governance and reporting structures are in place, supporting the Director of Operations to keep the programme on track with respect to time and finance. Responsibilities include setting up governance frameworks, liaising between stakeholders, managing programme board documentation, and ensuring smooth operation of meetings.

Requirements

Experience
- Proven track record of leading successful programmes and operational improvements at a strategic level.
- Extensive programme management experience in large, complex organisations involving multiple stakeholders.
- Experience managing large, multistranded budgets from diverse income sources.
- Demonstrable skills in individual, team, financial, process, and change management.
- Desirable: Knowledge of the NHS environment, strategy, and policy agendas.

Qualifications
- Essential: Relevant Masters/MBA, equivalent professional qualification or equivalent experience.
- Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) practitioner level or equivalent.
- Evidence of recent Continuing Professional Development.
- Desirable: Formal project management qualification (PRINCE2 or equivalent).

Skills
- Expert knowledge of operations and programme management methodologies and techniques.
- Extensive knowledge of contract management.
- Excellent understanding and proven success in change and programme management.
- Advanced analytical and judgement skills including application of complex statistical and numerical data.
- Ability to find innovative solutions to problems and anticipate challenges.

You are committed to delivering high-quality outcomes aligned with organisational values and have the resilience and flexibility to manage a major, multi-year programme within a complex healthcare environment.
