About the Role
Join us at Raffles London at The OWO, a landmark Grade II* Edwardian building on Whitehall, where luxury, heritage, and extraordinary experiences come together. As a Senior Waiter in The Guards Bar, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service from the moment guests arrive until they leave, ensuring their experience is memorable and seamless. You will work closely with waiters and bartenders, supporting them with food pick-up, table service, clearing, station refills, and drink service. You will maintain the bar and stations, act as the communication link between front of house and back of house, and assist the hostess and team members as needed. Your role includes providing guest feedback and requests to management and stepping up in the absence of line managers or senior employees. You will also contribute to sustainable practices in waste management and purchasing, ensuring food safety standards are met, and supporting a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the menu and products served in The Guards Bar.
• Deliver food orders promptly and accurately with clear explanations of dishes.
• Serve as the main contact point between front of house and back of house staff.
• Assist with table setting and ensure appropriate tableware and utensils are in place.
• Check in with guests to take additional orders or refill drinks as requested.
• Remove used dishes and utensils efficiently.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
• Report customer feedback and requests to restaurant management.
• Support sustainable practices daily.
• Perform additional duties or work in other departments as required.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures, including fire, emergency, and bomb protocols.
• Promote a culture of health and safety awareness within the team.
Experience
Proven track record of delivering exceptional service and delighting guests, preferably within a luxury hotel environment. Experience working under pressure while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail is essential. Previous experience with LQA, Forbes 5* or equivalent standards is desirable.

Qualifications
