Salary
£50,119 to £58,963 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, a flexible benefits fund of 20% is paid on top of the base salary and is fully pensionable, along with a range of competitive benefits.

About the Role
As the Systems Manager at HS2 Ltd, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management and support of various project control systems used by HS2 and its supply chain. This includes managing system configuration, interfaces with other HS2 systems, and ensuring the security and integrity of data across all in-scope systems.

You will assist the Head of Systems and Tools in developing and rolling out a consistent systems lifecycle management approach and strategy across the function. Your responsibilities include maintaining up-to-date support documentation, understanding the architecture and landscape of all PMO systems, and acting as the Design Authority for changes to system setup, configuration, content, and functionality.

You will work closely with business stakeholders to develop a future roadmap for systems and interfaces, prioritise and embed agreed changes, and collaborate with IT and delivery partners to implement technical changes in line with business requirements and governance. Ensuring documented onboarding and support processes, maintaining system integrity and security, managing authorised users and permissions, and providing training to users are key aspects of the role.

Additionally, you will provide data, reports, and analysis to support problem resolution, audit and compliance activities, and identify trends and solutions. You will also own the systems gateway, ensuring the integrity of external suppliers and system integration.

Requirements

Experience
- Managing complex stakeholder groups at all levels within a matrix organisation.
- Working within large infrastructure and/or delivery programmes.
- Managing IT systems and technology in a major project or programme context.
- Providing end user support and training on project control or similar systems such as cost, estimation, contract management.
- Negotiating and prioritising to resolve conflicts among project and external stakeholders.
- Administering and supporting project control systems such as CEMAR, ARES Prism, or similar.

About You
- Ability to use a structured approach to problem solving.
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and managing mission-critical system changes in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to translate customer needs and requirements into roadmaps and deliverables.
- Strong knowledge of data systems architecture at conceptual and detailed levels.
- Understanding of enterprise data management principles.
- Working knowledge of data management and analytical tools such as Tableau, Power BI, cloud environments, and automation/productivity tools like MS Power Platforms.
- Awareness of core Project Controls disciplines including Schedule Management, Cost Management, Change Management, and Risk Management.
- Understanding of change control, governance arrangements, financial management, budgeting, and cost control.
