About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Guy’s and St Thomas’ Community Tobacco Dependence Treatment Team as a Referral Coordinator. You will work full-time as part of a small, experienced team delivering tobacco dependence treatment across Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospitals. The role involves managing incoming referrals via multiple pathways, providing administrative support, and contributing to service development and local health improvement initiatives. You will engage with patients by telephone to discuss referral options and support smoking cessation efforts. The post holder will also support community events and campaigns, maintain data collection systems, manage resources, and participate in quality improvement activities. This role requires flexibility and a proactive approach to ensure effective delivery of smoking cessation services and support the Trust’s health promotion initiatives.

Experience
- Experience using and managing patient data collection systems
- Experience working in a patient-focused environment with an emphasis on patient care
- Experience contacting people via telephone and explaining options in a supportive manner
- Experience coordinating and supporting complex projects
- Desirable: Previous experience using Epic system

About you
- Friendly and effective communicator, able to engage with people at all levels both face to face and by telephone
- Flexible and proactive with the ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Competent in managing complex electronic diaries, email, and database applications
- Able to analyse simple statistics and willing to develop skills with new systems and processes

Qualifications
- Essential: NVQ Level 3 qualification or higher
- Desirable: Degree level education and NCSCT Level 2 Smoking Cessation Training
