The UK Enterprise Retail team supports users in improving customer buying experiences, expanding domestic presence, entering new territories, and unlocking new revenue streams. As a key member of this team, you will manage and elevate relationships with a named account list while identifying new growth opportunities and ways Stripe can exceed expectations.
As an Account Executive (Existing Business), you will create partnerships between Stripe and the most innovative and fastest-growing companies by helping them understand how Stripe’s online commerce infrastructure can make payments a competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directly manage and nurture a named account list, developing account plans to win and expand business with upper middle market and enterprise companies
- Build and maintain key relationships with C-level executives, orchestrating the right executive touch points
- Contribute to shaping Enterprise Retail strategy and building repeatable processes and scalable engagement models
- Develop outbound strategies to create and nurture opportunities
- Own the full sales cycle from lead to close
- Develop relationships with executive stakeholders at new and existing clients
- Collaborate with leaders across Engineering, Product, and Finance to lead complex product workshops and financial analyses
- Lead and contribute to team projects to refine sales processes
- Engage with Product and Engineering teams to help drive product strategy
Experience
- 7+ years of sales experience, preferably selling a technical product, with a track record of top performance
- Extensive experience selling technology products or services, preferably at an API-first company
- Proven ability to lead complex, multi-party sales processes from inception to close in a consultative manner
- Strong listening skills and ability to become a trusted resource for decision-makers across technology and finance organizations
- Ability to understand complex technical problems and how Stripe’s solutions address them
- Experience leading complex negotiations involving bespoke commercial agreements
- Fastidious CRM hygiene and experience with thorough sales forecasting and communication
About you
- Adept salesperson and relationship manager capable of engaging in business and technical conversations at multiple organizational levels including CTO, COO, and CFO
- Naturally analytical and enjoys digging into business models to help customers quantify investment decisions
- Motivated, smart, persistent, and a great teammate
- Positive attitude and tireless work ethic when encountering blockers
- Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment
- Strong interest in technology and deep understanding of the space
Qualifications
- Prior experience at a growth-stage Internet or software company preferred
- Experience in fintech or payments is a plus but not required
