About the Role
We are looking for a confident and experienced Assistant Front Office Manager to join us at The Hoxton, Shepherd’s Bush. You will assist the Front Office Manager in the overall management of the Front of House team, providing a naturally friendly, helpful, and responsive level of service for our guests. Located in the heart of Shepherd’s Bush, The Hoxton features 237 playfully designed bedrooms, an all-day restaurant serving Thai American comfort food, a large open lobby with vintage seating and cosy corners, a central wraparound bar, and a terrace, making it a perfect base for exploring West London.
Your key responsibilities will include supporting the day-to-day running of the Front Office, leading and inspiring receptionists to create a memorable and effortless experience for guests from arrival to departure. You will lead by example, coaching and developing the team to feel empowered and confident in delivering top guest experiences. You will support Duty Managers and collaborate with Hoxton teams to set selling strategies and ensure maximum occupancy. Deputising for the Front Office Manager during their absence, you will contribute to business success by managing rates, overbooking levels, and maintaining smooth operations. Additional duties include compliance, departmental budgeting, and building relationships with wider heads of department and Hoxton teams.
Experience
Previous experience in hospitality, ideally in a Duty Manager or Assistant Front Office Manager role, is an advantage but not essential. Experience dealing with a variety of guest requests successfully is important. Familiarity with Opera or similar front desk operating systems and understanding of GDS is a plus.
About you
You are passionate about providing great and memorable guest experiences, whether for overnight stays or casual visits. You have demonstrated experience in coaching and developing teams and are enthusiastic about team development. You are adaptable, positive, and enjoy working collaboratively in a supportive team environment. You embrace doing things differently and are ready to contribute to a fun, hardworking team culture.
Qualifications
There are no specific qualification requirements mentioned; however, a passion for hospitality and a positive attitude are essential.
