About the Role
A Chef de Rang will be responsible for the day-to-day service within Mauro Colagreco Restaurants, upholding the brand's commitment to delivering outstanding guest service. This role involves performing all tasks to the highest standards from the moment a guest arrives until they leave, enhancing their experience with us. You will lead a station and manage commis waiters to ensure smooth service, maintain the station and restaurant environment, and act as the communication link between back of house and front of house teams. Supporting hostesses, baristas, and other team members when required, you will also relay guest feedback and requests to management.
Responsibilities
Possess thorough knowledge of the menu and all products served within Mauro Colagreco Restaurants. Deliver food orders promptly and accurately with clear explanations of each dish. Serve as the contact point between Front of House and Back of House staff. Assist with table setting by placing appropriate tableware, utensils, and napkins. Engage guests professionally and knowledgeably about the dishes. Monitor guest needs by taking additional orders or refilling water as requested. Serve food and clear used dishes in accordance with safety standards. Communicate customer feedback or requests to restaurant staff. Commit to sustainable practices daily regarding waste management and purchasing. Assume additional responsibilities in the absence of line managers or senior employees. Perform other duties as assigned, including working in different departments or restaurants as needed.
Health and Safety
Report and rectify all potential and real hazards immediately. Be fully conversant with departmental Fire, Emergency, and Bomb procedures. Ensure the safety of all persons and property on the premises by adhering strictly to laws, statutes, and ordinances, anticipating hazards, and implementing preventive measures. Promote general awareness of Health and Safety in all departmental tasks and activities.
Experience
Proven track record of surprising and delighting guests with high levels of service under pressure. Previous experience within a luxury hotel environment working with LQA, Forbes 5* or equivalent standards is desirable.
