As a Reservations Agent, you are the start of an exceptional guest experience. You will make guests feel welcome and reflect the outstanding experience they can expect upon arrival. Your responsibilities include:
- Organising and ensuring the quality of the room sales service by maximising occupancy rates and average room rates
- Collaborating closely with the Reservation Supervisor to achieve the highest profitability for the department and hotel
- Building excellent relationships with customers to foster loyalty
- Maximising departmental turnover based on occupancy and average room price
- Checking invoicing for no-shows and cancellations
- Responding to guest reviews and extranet messages
- Assisting the team with creating and delivering special touches to guests' rooms
- Covering the reception desk when needed
- Performing back office tasks

Experience
Guest-focused personality is essential. Experience in reservations or customer service is advantageous but not mandatory.

About you
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple reservations, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail.
Ability to handle booking changes, cancellations, complaints, and unexpected situations efficiently.
Adaptable to changing guest needs, occupancy levels, and business priorities.
Understanding of room rates, payment details, discounts, and basic calculations.

Qualifications
No specific qualifications required; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
