About the Role
Raffles London at The OWO on London’s Whitehall unites the allure and heritage of Raffles with one of the world’s most historic addresses. This fine Grade II* listed Edwardian building has been transformed with 120 rooms and suites along with 85 exceptional branded residences. The OWO destination features nine restaurants and three bars, including one by signature chef Mauro Colagreco. The Guerlain spa and Pillar Wellness offer the latest in wellbeing, and a 600 seated-capacity grand ballroom, The Whitehall, is perfect for all kinds of special occasions and events.

Within these storied walls, where legendary statesmen and women once shaped the modern world, guests are invited to discover new and inspiring emotions and connections. At Raffles, you arrive as a guest, leave as a friend and return as family.

The Events Manager will sell and plan all manner of social and corporate events at Raffles London, delivering exceptional service throughout. You will ensure the events offering remains best-in-class, evolves with industry trends, and continues to delight guests. Developing new business and contributing to projects to strengthen the events department’s positioning are key responsibilities.

Operational duties include managing enquiries, preparing proposals and contracts, negotiating pricing, planning and executing events to Raffles London standards, and being present at events to ensure smooth delivery. Post-event follow-up, client feedback, accurate billing, and building a portfolio of regular clients to encourage repeat business are essential. You will also conduct site visits, entertain guests, agents and bookers, forecast events, and innovate new event experiences.

Additional responsibilities include covering for line managers or senior employees when required and supporting other departments or restaurants as needed.

Leadership responsibilities involve maintaining composure under pressure, providing guidance to the team, encouraging creativity and innovation, and recognizing employee contributions.

Health and Safety duties include reporting and rectifying hazards, being conversant with fire, emergency and bomb procedures, ensuring safety compliance with laws and ordinances, and promoting general health and safety awareness within the department.
