About the Role
First impressions are everything! As a Front Office Team Member at Mercure & ibis London Earls Court and Barnaby’s Restaurant & Bar, you will welcome guests warmly and ensure they have a memorable experience from arrival to departure. Our hotel is currently undergoing an exciting refurbishment to transition into a modern, stylish 4-star property with dual branding combining 3* and 4* products. You will be responsible for greeting guests, checking them in and out, responding to requests, settling accounts, and handling payments both by credit card and cash. You will proactively add personalized touches to enhance guest stays, promote hotel facilities, and actively sell special promotions and services. Communication with guests via email and phone, managing guest complaints according to Accor standards, and collaborating closely with all departments are key parts of the role. You will also ensure smooth shift handovers and task completion, working with Opera or related systems is a plus. Fluency in English is essential. Experience in a service-focused role is an asset but not essential.
About you
Service-focused personality with excellent communication skills. Ability to handle guest complaints professionally and work collaboratively with all departments. Proactive, organized, and able to manage shift handovers effectively. Fluency in English is required. Willingness to work flexible shifts as needed.
Qualifications
Working knowledge of Opera or similar property management systems is a plus. Right to work in the UK is essential.
