Maintenance Operations Team Leader

Location
London Borough of Newham, with reporting offices in London (Stratford) or Manchester. Agile working with 20% - 40% of contractual hours worked from the reporting office/working location (hybrid working).

Full Time - 35 hours per week
Salary
£42,150 to £46,000 per annum (London weighted salary) or £37,580 to £41,200 per annum (Regional salary), dependent on experience
About the Role
Join the Healthy Homes team at L&Q as a Maintenance Operations Team Leader. Reporting to the Maintenance Operations Manager, you will oversee the Maintenance Coordinators supporting the delivery of Awaab’s Law, Damp & Mould, Surveying, and the Delivery team. This is an exciting time to be part of the team as new processes and ways of working are implemented to provide excellent customer service.
You will lead and manage the daily activities of the team to deliver the highest quality standards with a focus on resident satisfaction and a ‘right first time’ service. You will engage with the team to foster a positive mindset and determination to find customer-based solutions.
Your responsibilities will include directing the team to meet objectives and key performance indicators, monitoring the accuracy of work orders and cases generated, and reviewing the assignment and delivery of repairs. Proven leadership skills in a similar environment are essential.
Advanced administrative and IT skills, including knowledge of L&Q bespoke systems, and financial awareness are required. You will need to adapt to an ever-changing environment, prioritise tasks effectively, and deliver results that benefit both the organisation and residents.

Experience
- Experience and knowledge within Maintenance Service Delivery roles
- Demonstrable experience of delivering high quality property/building maintenance services
- Experience of managing others
