About the Role
The Savoy is one of the world's most iconic hotels, renowned for outstanding service excellence since 1889. As Night Manager, you will be the guardian of the hotel overnight, overseeing all operations to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our guests. You will set the teams up for success the following day through detailed overnight reporting and preparations. Your responsibilities include ensuring health and safety compliance, maintaining the highest service standards, managing guest experience, and providing leadership and support to the night shift team. You will conduct training, implement effective communication channels, collaborate with the Front Office Manager on procedures, and manage resources efficiently. You will also handle escalated guest issues, maintain accurate records, and continuously improve night shift operations to enhance productivity and guest satisfaction. This role requires a proactive approach to guest service, anticipating needs and creating memorable experiences while fostering a positive and motivated work environment.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and supervise all night shift operations, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration among departments.
Act as the primary point of contact for guests during the night, addressing concerns and providing exceptional service.
Implement and enforce security measures to ensure safety of guests, employees, and property.
Conduct regular inspections to identify and mitigate safety hazards or maintenance issues.
Collaborate on training programs focused on service excellence, emergency procedures, and crisis management.
Maintain accurate records of incidents, complaints, and follow-up actions.
Maximise revenue opportunities through upselling and cross-selling.
Foster a positive work environment, motivating the night shift team.
Stay updated with industry trends and implement innovative improvements.
Work with Reservations and Revenue departments to optimise room availability and occupancy.
Respond promptly to emergencies and coordinate response efforts.
Continuously review and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

Experience
3 – 5 years’ experience in the luxury hospitality industry.
Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service.
Experience managing teams and night operations is essential.

Qualifications
Degree or diploma in hospitality management.
Knowledge of Opera property management system.
