Location
Based in Islington (10 minute walk from Highbury and Islington Station) with 3 days a week in Central Office and 2 days from home. You will also be required to regularly make visits across our portfolio of services. Please be advised that unfortunately our central office does not have step free access.
Hours
37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00. You may be required to work outside these hours as per role requirements.
Salary
£30,000 per annum
About the Role
We are hiring a People and Culture Coordinator to support the delivery of a safe, inclusive, and performance-driven culture. You will provide accurate and timely generalist administration and systems support across the full employee lifecycle. Acting as the first point of contact for routine people and culture queries, you will play an essential role in ensuring processes run smoothly, data remains accurate, and colleagues receive a consistent and professional experience throughout their employment journey.
Key responsibilities include managing end-to-end lifecycle support for employees including recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, contractual changes, leaver processing, and DBS updates. You will maintain accurate employee records, respond to routine queries, support payroll preparation, carry out data accuracy checks, maintain compliance logs, and collaborate with the wider People and Culture team on ad hoc projects and tasks.
Experience
- Providing customer-focused support within an office or people-centred environment
- Handling sensitive or confidential information with professionalism
- IT proficiency with ability to learn new software programs and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including relationship building
- Familiarity with general office systems and processes
- Understanding the importance of accurate record-keeping and data confidentiality
- Ability and willingness to attend regular visits to different service locations
- Proactive nature with problem-solving skills and ability to identify when to escalate matters

About you
Detail oriented, organised, and proactive with a high level of administrative skills. Confident working with systems and multiple streams of information. Clear communicator able to build trusting relationships with staff and external stakeholders. Calm under pressure, flexible, open to change, quick to learn new systems and processes, and able to work at a fast pace.
Qualifications
Desirable criteria include:
- Experience coordinating administrative workflows or projects
- Experience working within a People and Culture/HR environment
- Experience using HR, ATS, and Learning systems
- Working knowledge of HR procedures and basic employment law practices
- Proven experience in a similar role or with similar responsibilities
- Experience coaching and advising managers and colleagues on employee relations, performance management, absence management, and related areas
- CIPD Level 3 qualification or willingness to work towards a relevant qualification
