About the Role
We are seeking a Relief Bank - Complex Needs Recovery Worker to join our team at Penrose Focus. In this role, you will support residents with a history of forensic mental health issues and co-morbid substance misuse disorders. Residents range from high risk to low support, and your aim will be to provide tailored, person-centred support to help them reintegrate into the community.
You will identify individual resident needs and deliver support through one-to-one sessions, group work, and multi-agency meetings. Your role includes helping residents build skills and confidence, signposting to external services such as drug rehabilitation and psychological therapy, and assisting with practical needs like benefits applications and medical appointments.
Key responsibilities include monitoring wellbeing, conducting welfare checks, responding to incidents, building trusting relationships, and fostering a safe, non-judgmental environment. You will contribute to support plans, risk assessments, case reviews, and liaise with police and probation officers as required. Your work will empower residents to make informed decisions and take control of their lives, supporting access to primary healthcare and mental health services.
Join us in our mission to empower independence through trauma-informed solutions and dynamic partnerships that keep people out of prison, out of hospital, and off the streets.
