About the Role
Be part of the team that brings the nation's biggest music moments to millions. From headline performances by globally renowned artists to live coverage of iconic festivals, you'll help shape how audiences discover and experience music across the BBC's digital platforms. The Music On Demand Video team leads digital coverage of major events including Glastonbury and Radio 1's Big Weekend, and programmes the BBC Music YouTube channel, one of the largest platforms for live music performances anywhere in the world.

The Production Manager will work as a senior member of the team, providing leadership and working closely with our commissioning unit to deliver ambitious and large-scale content campaigns for some of the biggest moments in the BBC’s music calendar across BBC iPlayer, BBC Sounds, YouTube and beyond.

Your key responsibilities include building and managing the Video On Demand budget, creating robust and flexible financial plans to enable editorial ambitions across multiple ongoing commission strands and events. You will establish strong working relationships with partners across CRBA, TV Commissioning, Live Events, and the wider Content division to influence funding models and deliver new initiatives. You will build production delivery plans for all digital live music events and ongoing commission strands, working closely with internal partners and external suppliers. Additionally, you will source and acquire diverse and cost-effective suppliers to ensure efficient delivery of content throughout the year and manage the commissioning process. You will also shape, build and manage a seasonal production team as required to meet editorial goals.
