About the Role
The Public Area Attendant will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and orderly presentation of assigned public areas, maintaining a positive overall impression of the hotel according to Raffles London procedures and standards. You will support and work closely with the Senior Housekeeper and Assistant Executive Housekeeper, overseeing all aspects of public area cleaning across the hotel and residences. This role requires close collaboration with other departments to ensure a smooth and consistent service that exceeds guest expectations.

Key responsibilities include following daily task lists to maintain hotel and residence public areas, adapting cleaning frequency based on guest presence, balancing priority and non-priority jobs, and staying informed about events, occupancy, and outlet bookings during shifts. You will clean public areas, restaurants, guest and staff toilets using appropriate chemicals and procedures, keep service areas tidy and well stocked, and report any loss, damage, or technical issues promptly. Regular deep cleaning tasks will be performed as instructed.

Interacting with guests in a caring, respectful, and positive manner is essential, along with proactively assisting guests and having thorough knowledge of hotel and residence facilities including outlet opening hours. Additional responsibilities may include covering for line managers or senior employees and working in different departments or restaurants as required.

Health and Safety is a priority; you will ensure all hazards are reported and rectified, be fully conversant with fire, emergency, and bomb procedures, and promote a general awareness of health and safety within the department.

This role offers the opportunity to be part of one of the world’s best hotels, working in a landmark location with exceptional facilities including 12 restaurants and bars, a Guerlain spa, Pillar Wellness, and a grand ballroom.
