£40,323 per year (including service charge)

About the Role
The Savoy is one of the world's most iconic hotels, renowned for its outstanding service excellence and rich history since 1889. As a Duty Security Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining safety and security across the hotel. You will work closely with managers and leaders, ensuring good public relations and security awareness through training. Your responsibilities include controlling access to Back of House areas, monitoring alarms, managing visitor enquiries, and ensuring all security procedures are followed diligently.

Your key duties will include monitoring staff access and ensuring correct use of access cards, issuing and receiving keys, creating staff IDs, patrolling Back of House and front of house areas, monitoring CCTV, performing bag searches, liaising with supervisors on fire alarm management, recording incidents and accidents, monitoring various alarm panels, and ensuring efficient handovers and accurate record keeping. You will also comply with all Health & Safety legislation and promote safe working practices for yourself and colleagues.

Experience
1-3 years’ experience in the Hospitality Industry is essential. Proven organizational skills and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines with quality results are required. Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary, along with confidence and dynamism in interacting with all levels of an organization.

Flexibility and willingness to undertake different tasks as needed to meet the needs of guests and colleagues is important.

Qualifications
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (Essential)
- Valid First Aid Certificate (Desirable)
- Additional Health & Safety, SIA CCTV, Defibrillator, or Fire Marshall/Warden training or qualifications are a distinct advantage
